3D Sensing & Visualization Session at DNN World 2012

3D Sensing & Visualization Session at DNN World 2012
With Kinect for Windows, developers have the ability to make virtually any application controllable by simple human motion. Jason Kergosien will demonstrate various methods to enable DNN web applications to utilize gesture-based controls, as well as explore voice-enabling DNN applications.

The Kinect holds the Guinness World Record of being the "fastest selling consumer electronics device", selling 8 million units its first 60 days. As of January 2012, 18 million units of the Kinect sensor had been sold. Beyond setting records, it also made Natural User Interfaces (NUI) mainstream.  To maximize make this technology available for developers, Microsoft released Kinect for Windows, a more powerful Kinect designed to be used with PCs. Using the Kinect SDK and the new hardware, applications can now be controlled in new ways.
