For the nearly 7 years, we have been a part of this network of church IT professionals, originally developed to provide ministries with access to share IT expertise with one another. Since then, it has grown to a peer learning community of the best IT directors, and technologists around the world who have about technology, ministry and fellowship.
Aside from the traditional strategic, network admin/help desk focus, this year they added an exciting new session for the church web/ChMS developers to geek out about code, APIs, ChMS integrations, tools and best practices. Sessions were led by David Drinnon, of Second Baptist, Houston, TX and Chris Kehayias, of Calvary Chapel Melbourne, FL.
Other tracks included: VMware and Network infrastructure design best practices, Exchange2010 setup/migration/tuning, and VoIP and unified communications
Plus there were plenty of social events for attendees too, including a BBQ dinner at the Hard 8 in Coppell, and tours of Cowboy Stadium, Prestonwood Baptist Church, and Fellowship Church, Grapevine.
